Transfer Deadline Day: Bolton's Craig Davies loaned to Preston
Preston North End have signed Bolton Wanderers striker Craig Davies on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old Wales international has failed to score in 11 appearances for club and country this season.
He was Dougie Freedman's first permanent signing when he moved to the Reebok from Barnsley 12 months ago.
The ex-Manchester City trainee, who has struggled with injury this term, started in Bolton's 2-1 loss to Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.
Davies has played in Italy with Verona and in England with Chesterfield, Oxford, Oldham and Brighton. He also previously had loan spells with Wolves, Stockport, Yeovil and Port Vale, and is set for a home debut against Notts County in League One on Saturday.
Preston boss Simon Grayson told the "The fact we have been able to sign a player who has been starting at a Championship club shows our intentions."
Davies added: "I have been a bit unfortunate in the first part of the season through injury, but hopefully the second half of the season I can do really well and play a lot of games for Preston and help push for promotion."
