Portsmouth: Richie Barker plans Jed Wallace contract talks
New Portsmouth boss Richie Barker intends to have talks with Jed Wallace about his future in the new year.
Midfielder Wallace, who has been one of the stars of 2013 for Pompey, is out of contract in the summer having failed so far to agree terms for a new deal.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals in 24 appearances this season.
"It's something we'll sit down and sort out in January," Barker told 91热爆 Radio Solent. "I've had a good chat with him and hopefully we can help him."
Barker recognises the need to tie Wallace down to a new deal - but first must address their worrying slump in form.
"At the minute we need to get the games out of the way," he said.
"Let's get a few wins under our belt and start climbing the table and then we can cross that bridge."
