Nottingham Forest: captain Chris Cohen out for the season
Nottingham Forest have confirmed that captain Chris Cohen has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The Reds immediately feared the worst for the 26-year-old when he limped off in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Scans revealed the midfielder, who made his 250th start for the club, suffered cruciate ligament damage.
Forest added that it is not a recurrence of the 2011 knee injury that forced him out for nearly a year.
Cohen signed a new three-and-a-half year deal at the City Ground in October 2012, having only just returned from the long-term injury.
He has made 17 appearances in all competitions for the fifth-placed Reds this season.
