Swindon Town 5-2 Port Vale

Swindon Town got back to winning ways in entertaining fashion with a thrilling victory against Port Vale.

The hosts found themselves 3-0 up thanks to goals from Dany N'Guessan, Nile Ranger and Massimo Luongo.

Vale hit back to give Swindon a scare, Tom Pope rounding Wes Foderingham before Lee Hughes smashed home.

But Town's nerves were settled when Nathan Byrne curled superbly in from the edge of the box before Luongo drilled in his second of the game.

N'Guessan was influential in ending Swindon's winless run, netting his sixth of the season from Jay McEveley's cross before laying the ball for Ranger to tap in.

"If I was a spectator I wouldn't mind paying to watch that.

"At times in the second half it was end to end and there was some really good football from ourselves.

"Sometimes when you get a really young group of players they can become naive and make mistakes.

"It happened with the two goals, but we rode the storm and we were convincing winners in the end."

Port Vale manager Micky Adams told 91热爆 Radio Stoke:

"Our inconsistency has reared its ugly head again. From looking a decent side last week our frailties were exposed.

"We have to be on our game at all times, defend properly and do the right thing.

"If you don't, then we get punished because we're not good enough.

"It's back to the drawing board for us, I'm afraid."
