Irish Premiership: Coleraine 2-1 Ards
Coleraine survived a spirited fight back by Ards to claim a narrow victory at the Showgrounds.
Oran Kearney's men took the lead through a 54th-minute penalty by Ruairi Harkin after Stephen Lowry had been fouled in the area.
Shane Jennings volleyed in the second 13 minutes later after Gary Browne had headed down a Gareth Tommons chip into the danger area.
Paul McDowell netted after home keeper Wayne Drummond spilled the ball.
McDowell and fellow substitute Ben Roy led a late rally by Niall Currie's Ards and they could easily have gone away with a point.
Coleraine defender David Ogilby cleared a McDowell header off the line and the unmarked Andy Mitchell headed over the bar.
With Warrenpoint picking up a point against Portadown, the defeat leaves bottom-placed Ards two points adrift at the foot of the Irish Premiership table.
