Bury 0-2 Morecambe
Goals from Ryan Williams and Tony Diagne earned Morecambe victory at Gigg Lane and moved them up to fourth in League Two.
Tom Soares went closest for the hosts but his deflected effort hit the post.
Morecambe had been kept quiet until Williams curled in a superb 30-yard free-kick to open the scoring.
Diagne converted from a tight angle in stoppage-time to secure the victory and extend Bury's winless streak to seven games.
The Shrimps, who gave manager Jim Bentley a new contract in midweek, are now unbeaten in eight league outings.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Bury assistant manager Ronnie Jepson told 91热爆 Radio Manchester:
"We all feel the frustrations of the supporters because we want to win.
"The way we started was fantastic and you think that everything is coming to plan, but there wasn't a willingness to get on the end of crosses.
"We know where the problem is and where we need to recruit. We haven't got a physical presence up front and we need that sooner rather than later."
Morecambe manager Jim Bentley told 91热爆 Radio Lancashire:
"We're happy winning any game of football, but away from home and with a clean sheet, and we creep up the table again - it's fantastic for us.
"I knew we'd be up against it because we haven't got a good record here and they've got a good squad.
"They started the game better and we rode our luck a little bit, but we know we're a decent second-half side.
"Sometimes it's one moment of quality that gets your noses in front and the first goal is worthy of winning any game of football."
