Crewe 0-3 Gillingham
Gillingham secured their first win since promotion to League One with a comprehensive victory over Crewe.
Cody McDonald gave the Gills the lead by latching onto a Charlie Lee through ball before calmly slotting home.
Joe Martin doubled the advantage with a curled free-kick from 20-yards.
Crewe boss Steve Davis introduced Vadaine Oliver but he was denied twice by Gills keeper Stuart Nelson, before Adam Barrett made the points safe when he crashed home from close range.
Gillingham leapfrog above Crewe who now have the worst goal difference in the division.
The Alex were not helped by an early knee injury to defender Harry Davis, who went off in the ninth minute.
