Glen Johnson sprained his ankle in Liverpool's win over United
Liverpool defender Glen Johnson suffered an ankle sprain during Sunday's 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Anfield.
The 29-year-old was forced off with 11 minutes to go at Anfield as Brendan Rodgers's side kept up their 100% Premier League record.
He then withdrew from the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers with Moldova and Ukraine.
Johnson will now rest before medical staff make a further assessment.
Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Phil Jones also pulled out of Roy Hodgson's squad, meaning Cardiff defender Steven Caulker, 21, was called up to the senior squad.
