Middlesbrough's Curtis Main loaned to Shrewsbury Town
Middlesbrough striker Curtis Main has joined League One Shrewsbury Town on an initial 28-day youth loan.
The 21-year-old has made 28 appearances for Boro since joining the Championship side from Darlington in 2011.
But he has been allowed to join fellow Boro loanee Adam Reach at New Meadow with John Marsden out injured.
"The quality and professionalism of the young players at Middlesbrough is very good and we are pleased to have another with us,"
"The difficulty now for me is that Curtis won't be in Shrewsbury until later today [Friday] so the players haven't met him or trained with him so do I play him or wait until he's trained with us properly.
"It's a decision I've got to make and with both our strikers scoring at Rotherham last week it's going to be a tough one."
