Danny Ings: Burnley striker must enjoy playing, says Sean Dyche
Burnley manager Sean Dyche wants striker Danny Ings to continue enjoying his football after an impressive start to the season.
The 21-year-old has carried on his form from pre-season, where he scored in four consecutive games, by netting in the Clarets' first three matches.
"He puts a lot of pressure on himself," Dyche told 91热爆 Radio Lancashire.
"I said to him you've got to release that pressure and enjoy yourself as it's an important part of football."
After recovering from serious knee injuries over the last two years, Ings will be expected to fill the goal-scoring void left by Charlie Austin, who moved to QPR this summer.
Ings for a fee of around 拢1m but has struggled to hold down a first-team place as he returned to full fitness.
"He's got the best challenge in the world. I tell him all the time the best management in the world I could ever give him is play with a smile, train with a smile," Dyche added.
"People forget it is a business and it's a tough business, but you've got to find that love for yourself. At times he hurts himself so hard because he wants to do so well.
"You've got to free that up, relax and enjoy your football and he's certainly doing that."
