Bury add Sheffield Wednesday's Danny Mayor on season-long loan

Bury have signed winger Danny Mayor on a season-long loan from Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the new season.

The 22-year-old has made just one league start for the Owls since joining from Preston North End for an undisclosed fee in August 2012.

He also has League Two experience from a loan spell with Southend last season.

His arrival takes Bury's tally of summer signings to 16 and will be part of the Shakers squad for their opening game against Chesterfield on Saturday.
