Crawley Town ban fan for abusing Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway
Crawley Town have banned a supporter for four games for shouting abuse at Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway.
The incident occurred during Palace's 3-0 friendly defeat at the Broadfield Stadium, where fan Paul Prendergast reportedly insulted Holloway.
A spokesman for Crawley "Ian Holloway made the complaint and the club followed it up.
"It was noted by the stewards and head of security. Mr Prendergast was spoken to and banned for four games."
Prendergast has resigned from his position as Crawley Town supporters' alliance chairman following the incident.
