Cheltenham 2-2 Burton

Goals from Billy Kee and Rory Delap saw Burton come from behind to earn a draw with Cheltenham.

Jamie Cureton put the Robins in front on his debut, pouncing from close range, but there was a price to pay as he was taken off on a stretcher with a dislocated shoulder moments later.

Byron Harrison doubled their advantage, firing low into the bottom corner.

Kee then converted from the spot after Russ Penn's handball before Delap marked his debut with a goal.

"Maybe the referee was a bit ring rusty, but you can't award a penalty like that. He got them back in the game.

"I'm frustrated as I couldn't see them winning the game and they got given a lifeline. Credit to them for taking it, but it was never a penalty for me.

"There have been lots of positives but I'm disappointed with two decisions in both boxes, which both went against us."

Burton manager Gary Rowett tells 91热爆 Radio Derby sport:

"I'm relieved that we managed to come back from 2-0 down which is no mean feat at a place like Cheltenham in the first game of the season. But I'm also a bit disappointed that we didn't win the game.

"We had one or two chances off some of Rory Delap's throws and it's a shame we couldn't have anticipated them a little better. Phil Edwards rose for one like the proverbial salmon, but I think he was still in the tin though, so he just missed the post!

"I think a draw was a fair result in the end and I'm very pleased with the players response."
