Jonathan de Guzman returns to Swansea City for second loan spell
Swansea City have re-signed Dutch midfielder Jonathan de Guzman on a second season-long loan from Spanish club Villarreal.
The 25-year-old scored eight goals last season and his performances also earned him international recognition as he won his first caps for the Netherlands.
Swans chairman Huw Jenkins said: "Everyone is happy the loan is continuing.
"Then Jonathan will review his long-term future next summer."
De Guzman played under Swansea manager Michael Laudrup at Real Mallorca in 2010-11 and, after linking up with his former boss at the Liberty Stadium, enjoyed an impressive first season in the Premier League.
He scored eight goals for the Swans in 45 appearances, including two in the 5-0 Capital One Cup final win over Bradford at Wembley in February.
Soon after that game, while Laudrup had already promised to try and keep him.
Villarreal returned to Spain's top flight at the end of last season, but have allowed De Guzman to return to Wales.
He is Swansea's third summer signing, with defender and midfielder Jose Canas moving from Real Betis.
The Welsh club are also in the running to capture in-demand Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony from Vitesse Arnhem.
