Blackburn Rovers: Paul Agnew leaves operations director role
Blackburn Rovers have announced that operations director Paul Agnew has left the club after 17 years.
Much of last season was dominated by reports of a boardroom struggle between Agnew, managing director Derek Shaw and global advisor Shebby Singh.
A former chief executive at Preston, 55-year-old Agnew also held the position of general manager.
did not make it clear if he had been sacked, merely stating he was "no longer employed."
Rovers went through five managers last season as they only narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship, but will start the new campaign with Gary Bowyer in charge.
Agnew only recently launched a freeze on season ticket prices in the hope of regaining the loyalty of fans who had stayed away for the past couple of seasons.
