Barnsley: Tom Kennedy signs a new two-year deal at Oakwell
Barnsley's Tom Kennedy has signed a new two-year deal at the Championship club.
The defender, 27, initially joined the Tykes in September 2012 on non-contract terms and later signed a permanent deal until the end of the season.
He played only four times under former manager Keith Hill but was a regular after David Flitcroft took over as boss last term.
"Delighted to sign another two years at Barnsley F.C and looking forward to next season."
One of seven out-of-contract players offered new deals at Oakwell, he joins Jason Scotland in committing his future to the club.
Capable of playing at full-back or on the left side of a back three, Kennedy has previously worked with Flitcroft at both Bury and Rochdale, and has made a total of 389 career appearances, scoring 15 goals.
