Former Portadown player Joe McNeill signs for Cliftonville
Former Portadown midfielder Joe McNeill has signed for Irish Premiership champions Cliftonville.
The 24-year-old was one of a number of players released by Ports boss Ronnie McFall at the end of the season.
McNeill said he was excited about the move to Solitude and admitted it would be difficult to force his way into Tommy Breslin's starting line-up.
"I am joining the League Champions and I will have to work very hard," he told the Reds' website.
"Tommy Breslin has told me that everyone will be starting next season with a clean slate and that everyone will have an equal chance to show what they can do.
"But this team has quality all the way through it and I will not be expecting to just walk into the side."
