Cole Skuse: Ipswich Town to sign Bristol City midfielder
Midfielder Cole Skuse has agreed to join Ipswich Town on a three-year deal.
The 27-year-old will join up with the Championship outfit as a free agent when his contract ends at relegated Bristol City.
Bristol-born Skuse came through the youth system at Ashton Gate and made 307 first-team appearances.
It was confirmed earlier this month that he was ending his 17-year association with City, as they prepare for life in League One next term.
Managing director Jon Lansdown said: "It's a shame that we have reached a point where it is time for Cole to move on, but I wish him all the best with his future career.
"Our aim now is to produce more home-grown players like Cole going forward."
Skuse told the "I loved my time at Bristol, they gave me a chance in the game and I'll always be grateful for that.
"It's the right time for me to move on though. I need a fresh challenge and when I knew Ipswich wanted me, I didn't have to think too hard about the decision.
"I had a few options but with Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor in charge at Ipswich, that shows the intent of the club to move forward and I can't wait to get going."
