Shrewsbury Town: Jermaine Grandison requires hip surgery

Shrewsbury Town defender Jermaine Grandison faces hip surgery that could keep him sidelined for six months.

Grandison has seen a specialist after aggravating the injury (first sustained three months ago) 75 minutes into his comeback against Bournemouth in April.

The former Coventry City trainee, 22, needs surgery to resolve the problem.

"He could be out for six months which is a severe blow as he's an integral part of what we'd planned," boss Graham Turner told 91热爆 Radio Shropshire.

"He could play as a central defender and right-back where he gets forward.

"If he's going to be out for that length of that time it will be a severe blow, but we'll get over it."
