Glasgow City to play Spartans in Premier League Cup final
Glasgow City booked their place in the Premier League Cup final by beating Forfar Farmington 4-0 at Keirs Park.
Eddie Wolecki Black's side will face Spartans at Recreation Park in Alloa on 29 May to decide who wins the trophy.
Goals from Danni Pagliarulo, Sue Lappin, Leanne Ross and Sarah Crilly set-up a repeat of last year's final.
"We're very happy to be in the final," said head coach Wolecki Black. "We've put ourselves in a good position again to try and retain our league cup."
City dominated but took until the second half to get on the score-sheet, when defender Pagliarulo fired home following a great leap from Eilish McSorley which had put Forfar under pressure.
Lappin met Ross's free kick to head in number two and Ross made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after Suzanne Malone was fouled in the box.
In the closing stages, Crilly capitalised from close range when Forfar keeper Ellie Welton was unable to hold a shot in very wet conditions.
Wolecki Black added: "It shows a great consistency as it is our fourth final in a row and probably sums up what playing for this club is all about; in that we have to be competing for cups and league titles.
"It took a couple of minor tactical tweaks at half time which helped us in the second half and we got our rewards from that."
Spartans triumphed 2-1 over Hibernian in the other semi-final on Wednesday, with Louise Mason and Sarah Ewens scoring the goals.
