Chris Martin: Derby County agree deal for Norwich striker

Derby County have agreed a deal to sign striker Chris Martin on a free transfer from Premier League side Norwich City.

The 24-year-old, who scored twice in 13 games while on loan at Pride Park this season, has agreed a two-year deal with an option for a third.

"We have admired him from afar and to get a player of his quality on a free transfer is a good deal."

The Canaries decided against taking up the option of another year on his current contract and Martin will officially sign for the Rams on 1 July.

Meanwhile Clough has confirmed that the Rams will listen to offers for seven first-team squad members.

Goalkeepers Frank Fielding and Adam Legzdins, defenders James O'Connor and Tom Naylor, midfielder James Bailey and strikers Theo Robinson and Nathan Tyson have all been told they can find new clubs.

All seven are under contract beyond this summer.

But Clough said: "We've sat down and reviewed where we're at and what we need moving forwards, and we don't see the seven lads featuring on a regular basis.

"It's nothing personal and there's been no fallings out or anything like that, but we have to be honest and we don't see them figuring in our plans at this moment in time."
