Doncaster Rovers give Brian Flynn two-week contract

Doncaster Rovers have given manager Brian Flynn a two-week contract.

Flynn, 57, took over on a deal until the end of the season in January and led the club to the League One title with a dramatic win over Brentford.

Rovers chairman John Ryan told 91热爆 Radio Sheffield: "We've extended Brian's contract by a couple of weeks so he's still getting paid.

"I'm going to sit down with the major shareholders on Tuesday and discuss a lot of peoples' futures."

He added: "It isn't just Brian, there are a lot of other people out of contract too."

Rovers sealed a return to the Championship after just one season in the third tier thanks to James Coppinger's last-minute winner against the Bees, who had missed a penalty that would have sent them up at Doncaster's expense less than one minute earlier.

Ryan is now looking to strengthen the side ahead of next season.

"We've already identified quite a few targets," he said.

"I'd like to see three or four quality players come in and for the vast majority of players we already have to be given their chance."
