Oxford United: Jim Rosenthal backs manager Chris Wilder
Former Oxford United director Jim Rosenthal has given his full backing to under-fire manager Chris Wilder.
Oxford's season is limping to a close and Wilder has been criticised by a section of the club's fans who are unhappy with their progress.
But Rosenthal, who left the club in September, says Wilder is the right man to lead them in League Two next season.
"We have never hounded managers out of Oxford United and I hope we don't start now," Rosenthal told 91热爆 Radio Oxford.
"I think we have an excellent manager and a good group of people around him who have worked in very tough circumstances this season."
Wilder has been at the club since 2008 and led the side into the Football League in 2010. However, after going close to a play-off place last season the club have struggled to improve on that this term.
