Aldershot 1-0 Dag and Red
Aldershot took their fight for League Two survival to the final day after defeating fellow strugglers Dagenham.
After a lacklustre first-half, Daggers forward Jake Reed was put through but saw his effort saved by Jamie Young.
The decisive goal came shortly after the break when Michael Rankine smashed in Craig Stanley's cross for his first league goal for the Shots this season.
Josh Scott came closest to an equaliser for the visitors, but could not turn in Mo Sharriff's low cross.
Despite their victory, Aldershot's hopes of survival are slim as they lie three points away from safety going into the last game of the season away at Rotherham, who will be looking to secure automatic promotion.
Meanwhile Dagenham are just a point and two places above the drop zone before the visit of another relegation-threatened side, York, next Saturday.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Aldershot Town manager Andy Scott told 91热爆 Surrey:
"We had to win, which we did, but in truth its been a tough task and we've given ourselves too much to do over the period [I've been in charge] and from the start of the season - we haven't been good enough.
"It was a cagey game and we got the goal, we made mistakes and we didn't pass it well. It was typical end-of-season scrappy game and all the results conspired against us.
"You have to do everything in every game and throughout the season, the players, everyone at the club have got to take some responsibility and see what we can do better moving on."
