Bristol Rovers 0-1 Accrington

Lee Molyneux's second-minute goal was enough for a precious victory at Bristol Rovers that secured Football League survival for Accrington.

Molyneux struck a superb 30-yard free kick that Rovers keeper Steve Mildenhall could only palm the shot into the roof of the net.

Young midfielder Ollie Clarke, making his first start, went close with a dipping volley for the home side.

Rommy Boco could have doubled Accrington's lead, but headed wide.

Bristol Rovers manager John Ward told 91热爆 Radio Bristol:

"I think the players let themselves down and we've let the people down. But we've got away with it to the point that they have stayed and applauded the team off for previous efforts.

"I warned them about this on Thursday, about having the right approach to the game.

"We've got 88 minutes to recover the game as we have not gone close to doing that.

"What should have been a really happy occasion for me has not materialised. In terms of the day, the supporters have been probably better than the team."
