Northampton's hopes of automatic promotion from League Two took a blow after their goalless draw at Wycombe.

The Cobblers must hope Rotherham and Burton fail to win either of their final two games to have a chance of securing third place.

Northampton's top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa came closest to breaking the deadlock by hitting the bar with a second-half header.

Akinfenwa had another header saved soon after to ensure the stalemate.
