AFC Bournemouth: Brett Pitman hails Cherries character
Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman has hailed his side's character after they recorded their sixth successive victory at the weekend defeating Notts County.
The result saw the Cherries keep up the pressure on League One leaders Doncaster, while opening up a five-point gap on the teams below them.
Both Yeovil and Brentford sit lower than them in the play-off places although the pair have games in hand.
"We've got good characters here," Pitman told 91热爆 Radio Solent.
"We have a good manager, and most importantly good players."
Their winning run comes off the back of five straight defeats and with three games remaining, the Cherries have put themselves in a strong position to gain promotion.
But Pitman, who scored in his sixth consecutive game, says the side is remaining focused.
"It was nice to score again, but more important was to win again," he said.
"We can only affect our games and that is what we'll be trying to do.
"It's only human nature to think what if? You check for results for sure.
"We've got a five-point gap at the moment but that is slightly false because teams have got games in hand. We'll see how they do."
