Dunfermline 0-2 Falkirk

Falkirk made a bad day even worse for Dunfermline as they left a depressed East End Park with maximum points.

With the Pars in interim administration and swinging cuts expected, Falkirk took advantage of low morale.

On 10 minutes, Lyle Taylor got on the end of a Thomas Grant free-kick to head the ball into the bottom-left corner.

And Blair Alston sealed the win for the visitors two minutes from time when he drilled in a low right-footed effort from the edge of the penalty area.

The troubled Fife side are braced for staff cuts and a points deduction from the Scottish Football League, which could see them slide down the table and into a relegation battle.

As things stand, Falkirk closed to within a point of the fourth-placed Pars and have a game in hand.
