Irish Premiership: Glentoran 3-0 Ballinamallard
Glentoran stretched their unbeaten run in the league to six matches with a convincing win over Ballinamallard.
Richard Clarke scored the opener on 33 minutes with a lovely lob after United keeper Alvin Rouse's poor clearance had gone straight to David Howland.
Martin Murray netted the Glens' second after Andrew Waterworth had got down the right to cross from the bye-line.
Waterworth then made it 3-0 in the 77th minute by shooting in from a tight angle for his 19th goal of the season.
The striker broke in from the right and forced his way past a couple of defenders before scoring the 60th goal of his Glentoran career.
It capped a fine performance by the Glens and one which pleased manager Eddie Patterson.
"It was probably the most comprehensive performance we have had this season," he said.
"Things just seem to be clicking into place and the boys are showing much more belief in themselves.
"They are learning their role sin the system we are playing.
"The belief shone through today and we got a result from it."
Ballinamallard's closest effort came when Jason McCartney hit a post while they had a good penalty claim for hands against Jimmy Callacher turned down.
