Shrewsbury: Tom Eaves keen to extend loan from Bolton

Bolton forward Tom Eaves has admitted he wants to extend his loan deal at League One side Shrewsbury Town.

The 21-year-old has scored three goals in five games for the Shrews since joining from Dougie Freedman's side in February on a one-month agreement.

"I can't see why I wouldn't want to stay, but it's up to Dougie Freedman," he told 91热爆 Radio Shropshire.

"But I've had a great time, settled in really well with the lads, and now got a soft spot for the club."

Eaves, who scored twice in Tuesday's 3-2 win at MK Dons, impressed during a similar loan spell at Bristol Rovers earlier this season, where he scored seven in 17 games.

Despite not making a senior appearance for Wanderers, he has signed a contract until 2016 at the Reebok Stadium.

Shortly after agreeing that deal, he was allowed to join Shrewsbury and believes he is learning a lot from manager Graham Turner.

Liverpool-born Eaves said: "In his pre-match talks he gets us fired up for the games.

"You can tell he's an expert in doing that, and I've got nothing but respect for him. I just listen to everything he says - I can learn from him because I'm still young."
