John Still has made his first signing as Luton boss, bringing in Maidenhead United striker Alex Wall on loan with a view to a permanent move.

The 22-year-old former Thatcham Town forward has scored 13 times for the Blue Square Bet South side this season.

Still, who once had Wall on trial at previous club Dagenham, told "He's a young, ambitious, hungry player with great ability.

"He's a good striker of the ball and works hard."

Still added: "He's what you might call a centre-forward. He's not a 'striker' or a 'number 10', he's a centre-forward."

The Hatters are currently short of attacking options, with Scott Rendell and Jon Shaw injured, Andre Gray ill and Dan Walker and Jake Woolley out on loan.
