Luton v Millwall: Kenny Jackett urges Lions to take chance

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has urged his players to seize the opportunity in front of them when they face Luton Town in the FA Cup fifth round.

Millwall travel to face the Hatters, who are the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, on Saturday lunchtime.

Jackett told 91热爆 London: "We have an opportunity, if we can get our performance right, to progress to the last eight.

"That is a big chance and one, if at all possible, we want to take."

He added: "Particularly when you are in a situation that we and Luton are in, to get to the quarter-finals is a big carrot."

Having seen Luton beat Championship side Wolves and Premier League outfit Norwich City on their way to the fifth round, Jackett says he is wary of the threat posed by the Blue Square Bet Premier side.

"We are in no way underestimating Luton," Jackett said.

"They had a fantastic and deserved win at Carrow Road.

"They will put a lot of pressure on us and it will be a big atmosphere.

"They have done so well in this competition this year and it won't be an easy one for us.

"We have to make sure we stay level-headed and make the right decisions.

"While we respect all and any opposition, it does roll around to what you do yourself. We need to play well."

The tie has brought back memories of clashes between supporters of the two sides during during an FA Cup match in March 1985, which became known as the Kenilworth Road riot.

Jackett has only overseen two matches against Luton since and has played down the history between the respective fans.

"It has not been different than any others since the infamous day in 1985 which everyone is talking about," Jackett said.

"There have been many meetings [since then] but none maybe as high-profile as this one.

"Our paths haven't crossed over the last few years but I'm sure both sets of supporters will keenly contest the game and get behind their team."
