Stockport County sign Simon Hackney on non-contract terms

Stockport County have signed midfielder Simon Hackney on non-contract terms following his release from Hereford.

Hackney, 29, left Edgar Street in January after just one appearance in a month-long spell with the Bulls.

The Manchester-born winger, who counts Carlisle, Colchester and Morecambe among his former clubs, has made 112 league starts, scoring 19 goals.

Stockport appointed Darije Kalezic as their new manager last month and sit 14th in Blue Square Bet Premier.
