Scunthorpe 2-1 Crawley Town

Scunthorpe earned back-to-back home wins for the first time since 2010 as they overcame Crawley Town.

After a goalless first half, the visitors went in front when former Scunthorpe favourite Matt Sparrow struck from close range.

The Iron were back on terms midway through the second period when Jimmy Ryan smashed home from close in.

Scunthorpe completed their comeback 12 minutes from time as Niall Canavan rose highest at the far post to head home.

"It just shows you the magnitude of the win today. 2010 since our last back-to-back wins - that's incredible. I feel so, so sorry for the supporters to see the last three years with no back-to-back wins, so I'm delighted in that sense that we've got the first one.

"We know these games are pressure games for us because we've accumulated five home games in six and we need to make it count.

"It will make a huge difference to our season for sure and where we're going to be. Teams around us are still winning so the importance of when we get these home games is we've got to take maximum points if we possibly can.

Crawley Town boss Richie Barker told 91热爆 Sussex:

"We were unlucky, but to be fair to Scunthorpe they scored two decent goals. We should have done better with our opportunities.

"At times I thought we were the better side, but it is going to take a while for these teams to blend, especially when the season is so stop start.

"I expect the players to be fresh for the game, and they've been fantastic in training this week, that's why this is so disappointing."
