Coleraine ended a run of four league matches without a win by seeing off Lisburn Distillery at Ballycastle Road.

Stephen Lowry headed in from an Aaron Canning right-wing cross in the 16th minute and Ruairi Harkin completed a fine move by finishing impressively past Lee Windrum after 23 minutes.

Kyle McVey headed in the third on the stroke of half-time.

Owain Beggs raced onto a long ball over the home defence and fired in to give the Whites hope in the 46th minute.

Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney reacted to Tuesday night's thumping at the hands of Ballinamallard by dropping club captain David Ogilby.

His side dominated the early proceedings and deservedly took a two-goal lead.

Dominic Melly shot from distance but the visitors were second best throughout, despite Beggs offering some hope with his goal early in the second half.

Coleraine move up a place to fifth in the league, while the Whites languish at the bottom of the table, four points adrift of Donegal Celtic.
