Plymouth 2-0 York

Plymouth earned their first victory in seven League Two matches after deservedly beating York at 91热爆 Park.

The Minstermen had the better of the early possession, and almost went ahead when Patrick McLaughlin's effort flew just wide of the post.

But it was the hosts who took the lead when Luke Young's corner caused a goalmouth scrabble, which resulted in Jamal Fyfield turning into his own net.

Nick Chadwick powered home to seal victory for Argyle late on.

Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher told 91热爆 Radio Devon:

"I thought we were very professional and completely dominated the game. I don't think York had a shot, let alone on target.

"It wasn't anything majorly different to what we've been doing for the last couple of months really. We got the basics right and that's the key to any football match.

"We played well and you hope to build momentum. It's just one game in a season but we take the positives from it. For that final confidence you need results and that's a big boost for us."
