Rotherham United: Steve Evans laments 'worst performance'
Rotherham United boss Steve Evans said the 5-0 defeat by Dagenham & Redbridge was the worst performance any team had given him in his managerial career.
The result leaves the Millers ninth and Evans told 91热爆 Radio Sheffield: "It was a shambles from start to finish. There are no excuses.
"It's the worst performance I've had as a manager ever from any of my teams and I've had some howlers.
"It was [goalkeeper] Andy Warrington versus Dagenham."
Former Boston and Crawley manager Evans continued: "He stopped it from being more. I don't think we created a real opportunity in 95 minutes.
"Did we have a player who played well other than Warrington? Did we have a player that did OK or gave 100% other than him? I'm not so sure there was."
The Millers have had injury problems, but Evans refused to blame them for the defeat.
"There's always a problem when you lose the key players we've been without," he said.
"We're playing three or four players who couldn't make the squad 10 days ago but that would be an excuse and we're not here to make excuses. We've been beaten fair and square today, we've been smashed.
"It'll be a long week of a post mortem before we play again."
