Craig Reid says Aldershot Town's hard work will pay off
Striker Craig Reid says Aldershot's performances are improving despite a third successive defeat in League Two.
Reid scored a hat-trick but the Shots lost 4-3 at Torquay United on Tuesday.
He told 91热爆 Surrey: "On the positive side we scored three goals away from home and had more chances than we have created in the last few games.
"We lost but it shows the hard work we've been putting in on the training ground and sooner or later it is going to pay off."
The Shots had been 3-0 ahead against Torquay early in the second half but could not hold on to secure what would have been only their third league win of the season.
"It wasn't to be," added 26-year-old Reid.
"We were very unlucky that they snatched it at the end. We've got to pick ourselves up again now."
Meanwhile, Reid believes his partnership with Danny Hylton will get better with more game time.
The former Stevenage man has scored four goals in the four games the duo have played together but Hylton is yet to find the net this season.
"Me and Danny are good friends," said Reid.
"We room on away trips and spend a lot of time together.
"He's a positive person and so am I and I think it reflects in the way we play together.
"It's me this week that has got the goals but hopefully at some point I will repay the favour."
