Hereford United: Byron Anthony signs non-contract deal
Hereford United have re-signed former Bristol Rovers defender Byron Anthony on a non-contract deal.
The 27-year-old spent the final three months of last season on loan from the Pirates at Edgar Street, scoring once in 15 League Two matches.
He became a free agent after being released at the end of last season by Rovers boss Mark McGhee.
The former Wales Under-21 international started his career at Cardiff before joining Rovers in the summer of 2006.
Anthony, who also had a month on loan at Forest Green in his final season at Cardiff, played 191 games in all competitions for Rovers, scoring 10 goals.
Relegated Hereford were unbeaten in their first four games in the Blue Square Bet Premier, picking up 10 points.
But Martin Foyle's men have won just once in their last four games to slip to eighth in the table, shipping 10 goals in the process - five of which came at bottom club Hyde last Saturday.
