Peter Sweeney's first-half free-kick sealed a point for Bury against Sheffield United, after Nick Blackman had given the Blades the lead.
Blackman rifled past keeper Trevor Carson from six yards for 1-0.
However, Sweeney curled the Shakers level with a 20-yard free-kick after Marcus Marshall was fouled.
Carson denied Blackman on several occasions, while Bury could have stolen all the points had Mark Cullen headed under the bar late on.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson told 91热爆 Radio Sheffield:
"Nick Blackman has had a great start on return of goals and he always feels like he's going to score.
"He works very, very hard in training and in certain aspects of his attacking play. He gets his rewards on a Saturday.
"He's a major threat and we'd like one or two others in that mould at the moment."
Bury caretaker manager Peter Shirtliff told 91热爆 Radio Manchester:
"I thought Sheffield United played quite well and caused us a lot of problems.
"The movement and pace they've got throughout the team is a big asset to them.
"Not many people would have expected us to get anything but I believed we could.
"The players have done me proud today. I can't be disappointed with a point at Sheffield United."
