Coventry City 2-2 Bury

Coventry City surrendered a two-goal lead as Bury fought back to claim a draw at the Ricoh Arena.

Adam Barton gave the Sky Blues the lead with a sublime 25-yard strike and were 2-0 up at the break after Carl Baker scored direct from a free-kick.

David Healy pulled a goal back from the penalty spot on his Shakers debut, after being clumsily brought down in the area by Richard Wood.

And Lenell John-Lewis headed in late on to secure a point for Bury.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Coventry City boss Andy Thorn told 91热爆 Coventry & Warwickshire:

"As well as we played in the first half we were equally as bad in the second. Defensively we were poor and there's no getting away from that.

"At half-time we told the players what to expect and what they would do, and that's exactly what they did, how we had to go about it and we didn't do it.

"It wasn't a surprise what happened in the second half. We had to stand there and be solid, but we were weak. We gifted them a penalty and let in a really soft goal.

"I know we're new and we've just come together, but we still have to be better than that. We have standards and that was not acceptable."
