Ballymena Utd 2-0 Linfield
Jamie Davidson struck twice to give Ballymena a shock win over champions Linfield in the Premiership opener.
The Blues pressed early in the game but failed to threaten before Davidson fired across keeper Alan Blayney and into the Linfield net on 43 minutes.
Linfield were frustrated by a solid United defence while Davidson shot over on the break and Sky Blues forward David Cushley hit the crossbar.
Davidson's cool finish under Blayney sealed the points on 75 minutes.
