Crewe Alexandra to sign Abdul Osman on free transfer
Promoted Crewe Alexandra are set to wrap up their transfer business for the summer by signing Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Osman.
The former Northampton Town favourite, 25, is a free agent after spending last season with Greek League side Kerkyra.
Osman left the Cobblers in May 2011 after three seasons at Sixfields.
The highlight of his time with Northampton was scoring the decisive spot-kick in their Carling Cup win over Liverpool at Anfield in October 2010.
Crewe need midfield reinforcements following a pre-season knee injury suffered by Luke Murphy.
Osman would be League One nrew boys Crewe's fifth signing of the summer, following the arrival of defenders Mark Ellis (Torquay) and Gregor Robertson (Chesterfield), striker Mathias Pogba (Wrexham) and winger Michael West (Ebbsfleet).
