Newly-promoted Nuneaton Town have made three more signings as they prepare for life in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Hinckley United striker Danny Newton, 21, Boston United midfielder Danny Sleath, 25, and Corby Town defender Delroy Gordon, 27, have agreed deals.

Boro boss Kevin Wilkin had already signed midfielder Jon Adams following his release by AFC Telford United.

Wilkin also has 10 of last season's squad signed up and they will find out their fixtures on 2 July.

"I heard Boro were interested in me last season after I scored against them on Boxing Day, but there was nothing concrete at the time," said Newton, who netted 13 goals for Hinckley last season.

"I have joined now because they are a bigger club than Hinckley, playing at a higher level and offering a new and bigger challenge," he told the Blue Square Bet Premier website.

Sleath, who started his career at Mansfield Town before winning promotion with Boston and Ilkeston Town, has just finished studying for a degree in Design Engineering at Loughborough University.

"I want to play at the highest possible level," he said. "And, from what I've seen and heard of Nuneaton, they can match my ambitions."

Gordon, who has experience of Conference top flight football from his time at Kettering, said: "I played against Nuneaton last season and could tell the core of the team had been together for a long time.

"They were very strong defensively and very, very quick when attacking. They sucker punched us a few times.

"I have a few friends who have played for the Boro in the past and they have told me how great the club and the fans are."
