Oxford reject Bristol Rovers' bid for James Constable
Oxford have rejected an undisclosed bid from League Two rivals Bristol Rovers for striker James Constable.
The 27-year-old scored 11 goals in 43 appearances for the U's this season and turned down the chance to speak to rivals Swindon about a potential move.
Oxford chairman Kelvin Thomas said: "James has attracted interest from a variety of clubs and further interest is not really a surprise.
"We have received a formal offer from Rovers but have turned it down."
