Burnley 1-1 Bristol City
Bristol City rescued a draw against Burnley despite having to play the final half-hour with defender Liam Fontaine in goal.
Centre-back Fontaine was forced to take the gloves after David James suffered an injury with no goalkeeper named on the substitutes bench.
Eddie Howe's Clarets capitalised when Danny Ings struck from 30 yards.
But City earned a point with Ryan Taylor's 25-yard effort, his first goal for the club.
The draw left Burnley in 13th position, while City ended the season in 20th place after securing their safety the previous weekend.
City should have taken the lead in the 12th minute when Brett Pitman found himself in a good position, from Martyn Woolford's cross, but headed straight at goalkeeper Brian Jensen.
Burnley came close to opening the scoring on the brink of half-time as Danny Lafferty found Charlie Austin, who shot wide.
Howe's team continued in the ascendancy after the break, with the pressure on the visitors growing further when James was forced off after landing awkwardly.
A Burnley victory seemed to be on the cards when Ings fired a long-range shot past Fontaine on 76 minutes.
But Taylor's equally classy effort five minutes later ruined the home side's victory hopes.
Burnley boss Eddie Howes said: "I felt we had enough chances to win the game but we let it slip.
"Some of our shooting was wayward and I thought we should have put more crosses in the box and asked more questions of the goalkeeper after David James went off.
"We wanted to finish with a win and a performance to send the supporters off in good spirits with an idea of the kind of football we want to play next season but we didn't dominate or dictate the game well enough from the middle of the pitch and that was disappointing."
Bristol City boss Derek McInnes said: "It has been a trying season for all the supporters and the players, as well as the staff.
"From the very outset there were some disappointing results and we have been in a relegation battle for the majority of the season, which hasn't been pleasant.
"There are a lot of players out of contract here so it gives me the opportunity to freshen things up in the squad."
