Carlos Edwards agrees new Ipswich Town contract
Ipswich Town full-back Carlos Edwards has agreed a new contract until the end of next season.
The deal includes the option for Town to extend the 33-year-old's stay at Portman Road beyond 2013.
Edwards, who has started all but two of Town's games this season, was set to be out of contract in the summer.
"I'm delighted to confirm that we have agreed terms with him over a deal for next season," Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg told
"We have had good dialogue with Carlos over the last few weeks."
The Trinidad & Tobago international, a signing from Sunderland in 2009, made his 115th Ipswich appearance in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Hull.
His previous clubs include Wrexham and Luton and he has totalled 396 career league games in English football.
