Oxford United suffer Peter Leven injury blow
Oxford United have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Peter Leven has been sidelined with a shoulder injury.
Leven, 28, will miss Saturday's derby against Swindon Town and will see a specialist to assess the extent of an injury that has troubled him for weeks.
The Scotsman has played 34 times for the U's this season, scoring six goals,
"It is a blow but he has been playing through quite a bit of pain," said Oxford United manager Chris Wilder.
Captain Jake Wright also rated very doubtful for this weekend's game.
"It has reached the stage where Peter can't continue and we need to address the issue," added Wilder.
"The timing is not great, especially with Jake struggling with a back injury, but the crux of the matter is that he will not be fit for Saturday."
