Kettering boss Mark Cooper fears the club is at risk

Kettering Town boss Mark Cooper says the future of the club is at risk, if off-field issues are not resolved.

The club await investment in order for them to pay football creditors and get lifted.

Cooper : "This could have been the last time we turn up here if people aren't allowed to bring the investment into the club.

"People want to come in and wipe the debt out, pay the players and get the club up and running again."

The Poppies' Blue Square Bet Premier match against Forest Green Rovers was . They next travel to Wrexham, and are due to host Lincoln on Saturday, 28 January.

"You always want to play when you're here, but it's unplayable in parts of the pitch," said Cooper.

"This wouldn't have happened three or four years ago, when the club was proud and up there with the top teams in the Conference. It's just a sad state of affairs.

"I've been told all this week the deal has been done, then it's off, then it's on, then it's off.

"Let's just get the thing done."
