Bournemouth 0-2 Sheffield Utd

Own goals from Bournemouth defenders Adam Barrett and Steven Cook were enough for Sheffield United to record their sixth consecutive victory.

The Blades were ahead inside five minutes when Barrett diverted Ched Evans's cross past his own goalkeeper.

As the home side pressed for an equaliser, Evans broke down the left and his centre was put into his own net by the unfortunate Cook.

Barrett's header was the closest that Bournemouth came to a goal.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury told 91热爆 Radio Solent:

"They were a better side on the day. I think they deserved the win but for long spells in the game I thought we caused them problems.

"At home I wanted us to take the game to Sheffield United. The crosses that were coming in the box weren't of the highest quality but the wind may have been a factor.

"I think the performance was fine - we've kept them down to four shots on target and on another day we've probably had the better chances."

Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson told 91热爆 Radio Sheffield:

"We were very strong, very disciplined, very determined I have to say. They showed a lot of desire out there, the boys, to get a result there today.

"It's never easy as we've said before. You can see why we were respectful to Bournemouth, they've got some good players in their team.

"But I thought there were pockets of great football from our point of view. The two goals were own goals but, when people see them, they're not own goals that you think 'crikey how did he score that'."
